I have had starter issues with this van, usually the drive not fully engaging fully. Have checked voltage to starter which was good. I have changed this starter four times with supposedly new starters. The van starts great for a few months, then back to the same problem. The parts store says its issues with the van not their starters. But why as soon as a new starter is installed no issues for months?

Hello,

It sound like the flex plate is wrong out which takes the starter out. Here is a guide to help and a video to show you what you are in for when changing the flex plate. It not the same car but the process is the same.

If you remove the starter and take a picture of the explicate teeth I can tell for sure.

Please run down these guides and report back.

Cheers, Ken
