The car usually starts after about four cranks, every now and then it takes 8 to 10 cranks to start, could it be electrical or the starter going bad?

Hello,

This could be due to a weak battery or a starter.
Load testing the battery can help you determine the cause.

You can also try to jump start the vehicle and see if that takes the 8-10 cranks or if it starts normal. This can also tell you if it is the battery or the starter.

I have attached the battery replacement procedure below.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
