what would cause the 10 amp crank fuse to melt? I keep having to replace the ignition switch. I have replaced the ignition switched four times already.

It does not blow in the fuse box just melts it and after a while the ignition switch fails but after I replace it everything works fine for six months then it will melt the fuse again. But it does not pop it and I'm back to square one.

Good afternoon,

What amperage is the fuse that fails?

It comes from too much current draw. I would suspect wiring as the reason.

Does it start normally?

10 amp fuse. Starts up fine no problem. For six months then the ignition switch must be replaced due to failure.

You are going to have to check the wiring. start from the ignition switch to the park neutral switch, the starter relay and down to the solenoid.

Look for any corrosion or bare wires. Also look at the fuse block as well for any corrosion at the back of the fuse block.
