Starter flex plate removal

Can someone tell me how to remove the flex plate? I have a new mechanic and I'm not sure he is sure what to do. so I while I am looking for a mechanic to do the job I'd like to know more about what needs to be done.

I attached the process for the flex plate specifically and for removing the transmission. It is pretty straight forward once the transmission is out.

Haha. Okay. Maybe we had terms confused so I would just show him the pages attached prior and make sure he didn't mean a different part then the flex-plate. However, a flex-plate what connects the engine to the transmission and the starter turns this to start the engine.

It is also called a flywheel when it is a manual transmission. Let us know if you need more info. Thanks
