I have an intermittent cold-start problem which only seems to occur when the outside temperature drops. When attempting to start the engine from cold, the starter motor cranks normally but the engine often fails to start on the first attempt.
If I switch the ignition off and then back on several times before trying again, the engine will usually start. Once started, the vehicle runs normally and I do not notice any loss of performance or warning lights.
The issue appears to be temperature-related, as it is much more noticeable in colder weather. I would like the glow plug system, battery condition, fuel delivery system and any relevant fault codes checked to identify the cause.
There are no warning lights on the dashboard and the problem is limited to cold (colder weather - starts fine during the summer months) starts.
