Vehicle will not start, says starting disabled

It has a little lock symbol. Thought it was the starter, but after changing it is when the lock symbol appeared, still won't start. Please

Is this the symbol that you are seeing? See below.

If this is the case then this is an active security fault so we can try and find reset it using this guide:

Basically you can unlock the vehicle or put the key in the ignition on the on position for up to 30 minutes until the lock symbol shuts off.

If this does not work then we need to check for codes to find out if there are any there and that will point us in the right direction.
