I needing to replace the starter on my dad's car, but cannot find where the other bolts are located. I've only found one bolt.

Welcome to 2CarPros.
There are two. I attached a picture so you can see locations. Once you remove the bolts, then remove the motor by rotating the solenoid side toward the vehicle. I did note that you said it is a 3.1L. The V6 offered was a 3.3L. That is what the picture is from. Please let me know if something is different.
