My truck has a 4.6 with manual transmission. It will not start but sounds like the Bendix is engaging.

Good afternoon.

Is the engine turning when the starter is engaged? If it is then the Bendix is good. If it is not, then the Bendix has failed. the starter will have to be replaced.

Failure to do so may result in unexpected inflation or deflation of the air springs which may result in shifting of the vehicle during these operations.
