starter

I have replaced the starter five times in the last 3 months. One of the starters actually blew apart. Have tried remanufactured starters and brand new starters. What is causing this problem. Have taken it to s mechanic and he told me to sell it. Dont have that option. Only mode of transportation.

has the starter been shimmed correctly to engine? that does it a lot of times is the flywheel in good shape and teeth not runoff or badly damaged?
