I have the vehicle listed above that I love! The standard battery keeps draining, needs replacing. The current battery is 2018. Can I do this myself? Is it like a standard battery in all cars, or are there special wires, etc., because of the hybrid? Thank you! Sandra

Hello Sandra,

Yes, you can replace the regular car battery much like a normal battery replacement:

Battery Replacement Process

All systems off!

Disconnect the negative (-) terminal first, then the positive (+) terminal.

Remove any securing bracket or strap holding the battery in place.

Install the new battery, reconnect the terminals (positive first, then negative), and secure it in place.
