I have a 2007 that I love! The standard battery keeps dying, needs replacing. Current battery is 2018. Can I do this myself? Is it like a standard battery in all cars, or are there special wires, etc because of the hybrid. Thank you! Sandra

Hello Sandra,

Yes you can replace the regular car battery much like a normal battery replacement:

Battery Replacement Process/

All systems off!

Disconnect the negative (-) terminal first, then the positive (+) terminal.

Remove any securing bracket or strap holding the battery in place.

Install the new battery, reconnect the terminals (positive first, then negative), and secure it in place.
