I have replaced almost everything under hood . My truck dies or stalls when I shift to drive or reverse. Idles in park normally. Only way I can drive is to keep gas pedal depressed. As soon as let it up it dies. Possible air fuel ratio issue .cause there's a mystery vacuum leak that's causing a click click sound in engine compartment.

Hi,

If there is a vacuum leak, that will cause the issue. Here is a link that explains how to check for and locate a vacuum leak. Also, if you can record the clicking you hear and upload it for me, it would be helpful. Let me know the approximately area it is coming from.

Here is a link that discusses the most common causes of a stall at idle.

I need to know what has been replaced so far. You mentioned that many things have been. Also, let me know if you have checked for diagnostic trouble codes and what they are if you have. Finally, I need to know if you have a live data scanner that can provide fuel trims when the engine is running.

Let me know.
