Hello! The car will stall and shuts off whenever it rains or at the car wash. I checked for vacuum leak, wiring issues, found out the car was hit by the fuse box but all the wires underneath the fuse box look okay. I also checked for grounding issues, looks okay. I also took the upper intake off to see if there are any water and the coils are dry. Sprayed the engine bay with water to see what's happening and the rpm will fluctuate between 500 and 1,000-1,500 rpm's before it shuts off. Could it be the throttle body? Car will idle sorta fine when I unplug the MAF sensor. Although the MAF was replaced recently, could it be faulty?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Since it is affected by water, I suspect it is an electrical issue. However, when you say it happens at the car wash, are you cleaning the engine bay or is the hood closed and it still happens?

I have to ask if you made sure the battery terminals are clean and tight. Because of the location the battery now sits, anything is possible.

Let me know.

Joe

There has to be an electrical issue, specifically exposed wiring. You will have to pull back the wire loom to expose the wiring, I would do a small portion at a time to find the exact location of the problem.
