What happens is the car stalls intermittently when it gets to operating temperature. The car idles fine starts fine and everything. I stall the oil and battery light turn on. Engine cranks but I need to unplug the ground from the battery in order to start it again. However, a few times I have stalled and I kept rolling and it starts back up by itself. I don't get the gas to give it gas either. Sometimes it almost stalls but it catches itself and jerks while the green light for the prnd4d3d2 turns off, but they turn back on. I've checked the fuel pump it looks brand new. Stalling started when I changed the battery.

Hi,

The idea that the transmission indicator lights turn off and then back on leads me to think you are losing a battery connection on and off.

When you installed the battery, did you make sure the cables were good, clean, tight, and free of any damage?

Also, when this happens, do you lose any other electrical components?

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe

Joe, so basically, I've checked the battery connections and I've also checked the alternator and all fuses, and everything seems to be in order. I'm kind of stumped as to what the issue can be.

Did you check the battery cables where the ground mounts to the body and the engine block? When this happens, you mentioned the gear selection light turns off. Does anything other than electrical components turn off or change?

Sorry, I'm trying to determine if there is a total electrical failure or if it could be related to a connection at one of the modules. The idea of the light turning off and back on has to be a connection issue or partial component failure. It could be a wire, connector, or even a module. I'm just trying to narrow things down.

Let me know.
