During startup of the vehicle, the vehicle will start up right away. after running so long the prelude will stall and will not start back up. it cranks and cranks and backfires but will not start backup. any idea on what may cause the problem? i have noticed oil getting on to the spark plugs and some people have told me that there is oil build up in the cylinders and that it is causing it to shut off. any idea to what it my be? any input would be greatly appreciated.

Let me know what you find.

If you still do not find the issue, check to see if the car will start if you use starting fluid. If it does, check fuel pump pressure because it if most likely fuel related.
