Stalling out

My SUV turned on and i drove it about 2 blocks down it started to lose
acceleration. I parked it. the next day when I put into reverse or drive it turns off and won't stay on. had a bad catalytic converter took it off and still same problem. what could be the problem?

Good morning,

Is the check engine light on? If it is, there are fault codes stored. I would need them to narrow the area of failure.

Does the transmission engage and move the car? Trying to determine is the transmission is dropping out.
