Runs fine but in second gear it wants to sputter or cut out. But not in any other gear. Runs perfect on highway and city no check engine light. Please help!

That is really strange it only wants to stall out in second gear. I have never seen that on one of those cars. So you take off in first then shift into second and the car just wants to stall out while your driving down the road?

I would look around the shift linkage at both ends. Possibly a harness that is rubbing and only grounds out when the shifter is in second gear?

Intermittent contact on a different wire, like one feeding bias voltage maybe? Haven't looked at one in a while.

There are no wires by the end of the shift tower or cable ends that can cause that. So from what I know so far iam puzzled.
