Start stalls when in drive or reverse?

Stalling backfiring have to put gas pedal to the floor to start stalls when out in drive of reverse

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent it

This can be because of low fuel pressure. Here is a guide to help us check the pressure, you can rent a gauge kit form the auto parts store for free or cheap.

When the ignition switch is ON (Engine off) and the fuel pump is running, the fuel pressure indicated by the fuel pressure gage should be 284-325 kPa (41-47 psi).

I would swap out the fuel filter as well if it has not been changed recently. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
