When my car is parked and I’m going in reverse and begin to turn, my rpm drops real low and then when I switch to drive to go forward my car almost stalls, and sometimes will stall.

The most common cause of a low idle or stalling at idle is due to an engine vacuum leak. First, take a look through this link:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/stall-at-idle

If that doesn't seem to help, the next thing I suggest is checking for engine vacuum leaks. Here is a link that explains how that is done:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-an-engine-vacuum-gauge

If there are no leaks, then chances are it is related to the idle speed valve. It is located on the throttle body. I attached a pic showing it. (pic 1).

Here are a couple links that explain in general how to service and replace one:

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
