Car charging gauges goes all way down then engine shuts down while driving. Then it will not restart for about 15 minutes later. It clicks but will not restart until about 15 minutes later.

It starts again after about 15 minutes and then runs okay.

When it is running does the alternator check out okay? The battery can sit and regain surface voltage but then it drains quickly. Let me know please.
