Stalling while driving

The place to start is by reading and recording the diagnostic fault codes. Chrysler made doing that yourself much easier than any other manufacturer. Cycle the ignition switch from "off" to "run" three times within five seconds without cranking the engine, leave it in "run", then watch the code numbers show up in the odometer display. Post the numbers in your reply and I will interpret them for you, or you can go here to see what they mean:

I have done the self diagnostic code and it just keeps giving me the same code P1684, I believe, which is something about the battery has been disconnected within the last fifty starts. I have hooked a Blue driver up to my car and still no codes! I am trying to avoid taking my car into a shop because that could start becoming costly! I cannot pass my smog because every time the check engine light comes on I have to wait until my computer system resets itself. It is becoming a nightmare!

It sounds like you have a PCM that is going out. That's what happens when you get an interruption code.

But to be safe please check the battery cables for corrosion and connection.

I just had a new battery put in back in May. And this code was popping up before the new battery was put in. It seems to die every morning after I start it up. And when I'm driving check engine light will come on and it hesitates to die and doesn't, then other times same thing happens and will die. Yea I am really interested to find out what the problem is too! Thanks!

Here's one thing you need to be aware of, although I don't think this will address all of the problem. When the battery is disconnected or run dead, the Engine Computer loses its memory. Most of its learned stuff will be relearned while you're driving, without you even noticing, . . . except for "minimum throttle". Until that is relearned, the computer will not know when it must be in control of idle speed. The engine may not even start unless you hold the accelerator pedal down 1/4". If it does start, it might stall when you shift into gear, it will tend to stall at stop signs, and you won't get the nice idle flare-up to 1500 rpm at start-up.

You have to meet the conditions for the relearn to take place. To do that, drive at highway speed with the engine warmed up, then coast for at least seven seconds without touching the pedals. Until that is done, idle speed will be too low. This causes staling due to low engine speed. It will not cause stalling while you're driving.
