Stability traction control light was on?

Stability traction control light was on, it went out and service engine light started flashing. When I start and stop it shifts hard like slipping and has a ticking noise.

These might be two different problems but let's fix the warning light to see if that fixes the problem. The traction control light usually comes on when there is a wheel bearing hub going out because the wheel speed sensor is built into it. It is probably one of the front hubs. here is a video that shows how to change them out but to be sure let's run the codes (CAN SCAN) to see what comes up. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) from Amazon for about $36.00.
