Wife drove the car a week hopped in to take it to work got to the highway the light came on, six miles up the highway a loud squeaking (sounding like a walrus). car shuts down and now won't even turn over just clicks. now my mind went for the worst, I believe it sounded like a cam bearing going out and now she's locked up which is causing the click only when I try and turn it over. just looking for a second opinion.

Hello,

It sounds like and engine accessory has locked up I would remove the serpentine belt and see if the engine starts. Here is a guide to walk you through the removal:

Please run down this guide and report back.
