Stability Control Fail plus ABS warning light plus no servo assist on braking

I've had Stability Control Fail plus ABS warning light before. On that occasion it was an ABS wheel sensor that got ground up when a wheel bearing went bad (fixed by replacement).

This seems different, in that there is no servo assist on the braking this time. I got the warning to disappear for a bit by pulling one of the fuses (I was checking them all) but it came back and this didn't restore the servo assist. The vacuum hose seems sound and well attached to servo and manifold.

Not sure I have selected the right model, and there doesn't seem to be a way to edit it. This is a 3.2 litre Jaguar Sport V8.

OK, either I am an idiot or the car has been having a pop at me. I am going to go for the second. The warning indicators have gone out and a test drive confirms the ABS is working (won't let me lock up any wheel on a gravel surface). I still feel the brakes aren't as powerful as I they should be but I guess the servo assist must be working. Other forums suggest that low battery voltage after a period of disuse can cause spurious warnings, and that would fit the case here.

The problem is intermittent. There should be a trouble code stored that can be retrieved that will give you a starting point.
