Stabilitrak and traction control

When I start my van it says service stability and traction control. Gear shifter will not show what gear I am in on dash and while driving it will not change gears.

You need a shop to scan the ABS/Stability Control system. That will at least give some direction to what the problem is. Do not bother with the "free" scans at parts stores those only scan the engine/emissions systems. You need a better scan tool to access the system that you are having an issue with.
It could be as simple as a blown fuse or a bad speed sensor or wheel speed sensor. The information from the scan will help.
