I am replacing The heating and air conditioner fan blower to a Mazda 5. The manual calls for the use a special tool 49 B061 015 to remove the blower. Where can I find this special tool? What other removal options are available?

The blower motor attaches by a "twist and lock'. The tool holds the blower housing that you cannot reach so it can be locked in and out.
You can try it without one but you may get stuck.

Here are some instructions.

I do not know what that tools is, but the best approach is to visit the dealer. When I worked for a very nice family-owned Chrysler dealership, we would loan special tools to regular customers or people we knew, as long as a mechanic was not expecting to need it in the near future. The people at the parts department can order it for you too, but you want to be sure it is a good value since you may never need it again.

They can also tell you what that tools is, then you may be able to find the same thing on one of the tool trucks that visit shops each week.

I looked up this tool. It is called a "holder". I did not recognize it or know what its purpose is.

Also consider looking on eBay. There are people who go all over the country to dealership auctions, then sell the special tools and service manuals online. You can find some pretty good deals from them. I bought a lot of service manuals from "blkackhatauctions".
