SRS light on & automatic locking system not working

SRS light came on after repairs on my heating system @ Firestone. The automatic locking system has been out of order for 4-5 months. My key chain remotes do not work but I can lock the car manually, the batteries have been replaced.

Need to start with a scan to see what codes are logged in the ECU, do this and post the codes for further assistance. make sure that the SRS system is checked as a general scan may not show anything for this system.
