I am looking at purchasing a 2001 proton satria from a private seller. The srs light is blinking every 10-15 seconds. Can this be fixed. Can the system be bypassed for the light to stop blinking but the the airbag still operates in a crash? What is involved in replacing the sensor and a cost that might be involved. Like the car but worried about the SRS light.

Hello,

When this light is blinking it means the airbag system will not work in an accident. Here is a video to help you get the codes so we can see what is wrong

My guess is one of the impact sensors is unplugged or one of the airbags is unplugged.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken
