Squealing when started

Squealing under hood when starting the engine. It lasts ten to fifteen seconds.

make sure the accessory drive belt or belts are tight. If it is a single serpentine belt, remove it and if the noise goes away, then it was the belt, and if so, it is probably a weak tension-er, so replace it. If it is a V-belt, try tightening it if it is loose.

yes i agree, check drive belt tensions and adjustments, also check for contamination on belts like grease and oil leaks.
