Got back from a trip today and the vehicle listed above was making a squeaking noise. It sounded like maybe the rear end, but my wife thought it was the front. It did it on the bumpy roads but not the smooth roads. Kind of a squeaking noise that was due to the up and down of the vehicle on the bumpy road. By the time we got home, it sounded like a clicking. I tried bouncing the car up and down when it was parked to see if I could replicate the sound but I couldn't replicate it. I tried looking under the back end to see any apparent signs, but nothing. What should I check into for this type of noise? I want to try to narrow it down.

Hi,

It could be a number of things. Since it was a squeak, the first thing I think of is a bushing. Or a stabilizer link.

I attached two pics below. The first is an exploded view of the front suspension and the second is the rear suspension. I highlighted sway bar bushings and the stabilizer links. Check the links to make sure one isn't broken. Also, check for play in the bushings which attach the stabilizer bar to the body.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
