It is not straight away, but after maybe five minutes of driving I can hear a squeaking. it sounds like a belt, but it is not all the time. what can it be?

Does the squeaking only happen when the car is in motion or is it when it is stopped too?

No both mate. I reckon it is a belt slipping, but I am no mechanic.

Okay then yes the first suspect is the serpentine belt. Fortunately it is an easy and low cost fix, especially if you are doing it yourself. Do you happen to remember the last time the belt was changed?
