So I recently changed the fuel pump, and now a month and a half later girlfriend was driving home and she calls to tell me that the car just shut off. She tried to restart and it would but it just sputtered and shut off and you can continue to do that but it wont come out of the sputter.
any help would be greatly appreciated as we have some up coming plans that have been scheduled for some time.

thanksfor your time.

This sounds like a fuel pressure issue even though you put a pump in it I think we need to start with checking the pressure. I just had another vehicle not long ago that was doing this exact thing and they found the pressure low and replaced the pump again. Which fixed the vehicle.

Here is a guide that will help with that:

Once we confirm the fuel pressure is okay, we can move onto a possible ignition issue. However, I suspect this is a fuel issue as the sputtering is common of fuel issues.
