My vehicle quit running a few times then it sputters under acceleration. I cannot get above seventy mph without it sputtering. It is intermittent. One day it was sputtering and the engine light came on. I had it scanned and it was a crank shaft position sensor. The tech affirmed me this was the problem as the sensor was basically misfiring. I replaced it and it continues with the same issues. Some days it will not sputter at all unless I go seventy mph, other days it will sputter at twenty to thirty mph. I am lost. I was told it is not a fuel problem. It always starts right back up after it shuts off.

It sounds like you are having a misfire problem which shows up under acceleration, have you replaced the spark plugs and wires with AC Delco parts? This is where I would start.

Here is a guide to help you get started:

Please let us know what happens so it will help others.
