This is a Hybrid. This morning I was driving heard a pop sounded like a back fire. The SUV started to jerk and sputter. Yesterday my locks started unlocking and locking back by itself. Anyone have any idea what it could be? My dads bringing the computer home tonight to hook up to it.

The shaking and sputtering may be a misfire and or something with the body module also effecting door locks. Until it is scanned for codes will be the best course of action at moment.

Thank you! My dad is going to hook it up tonight. My uncle tried to but his computer would not really pull anything. I am just praying it is not going to need a new engine I just bought it a year ago.

No misfires can be anything from a basic engine problem to wires, spark plugs, injectors or a sensor bad.

Took it to the check dealership today. They gave me a quote to fix the lifters or put a new motor in. Is there any other way around that? It's pretty costly. I've been doing some reasurch and some people have fixed it on there on with a motor treatment. Now I know not to believe everything on the internet just looking at all my options.
