My vehicle is the MK3 model. It vibrates excessively on idle and is at times mistaken for a diesel engine because of the sound it makes. It gets quieter when you drive off. On acceleration it sputters, gives off this choking sound and has very minimal power. At higher revs the sputtering is minimal.
