Sputtering when warmed up

the truck runs fine when running cold but when it warms up it starts sputtering like it wants to stall when braking for a red light or even slowing down it sputters. the check engine light came on and the codes were for both the cam shaft position timing sensors both bank 1 and 2 being over retarded. replaced both of them but the code popped up again and still having the same issues. was hoping to fix it myself but I am running out of patients. I have heard multiple things that it could be but I just do not know

Hello,

The camshaft actuators depend on clean fresh oil to work correctly. Please check and change the oil as needed. Here is a guide the will show you what you are in for when doing the service.

If that is not the problem is could be caused by low oil pressure which will not move the camshafts as it should.

This can be caused by a clogged oil pump pick up due to lack of maintenance.

Please let us know what happens, we are interested to see what it is.
