My coil springs are creaking. Problem is the spring itself is not attached to any suspension parts, i.E the front struts or the rear absorbers. I am trying to think if I have to buy the coil spring insulator or the coil spring itself. The spring is located between both of my shocks on both passenger and driver side.

Are you hearing this noise while turning or just going over bumps?

Those noises can be caused by control arm bushings that have harden up. Usually coil springs do not make noises, they just sag lowering the ride height of the vehicle. The upper part of the strut can make noises too when the bearing goes bad (when turning) or the strut tower rots out and starts clunking all over the place.
