Sport light blinking

The sport light came on blinking, the vehicle lost ability to engage without pressing on the pedal. Literally the car lost its power, the mechanic had it in the diagnostics and suggested we buy another gear box, which I did, fixed it, but the blinking was still there. He advised we buy the ECU-"the one that controls lights, alarm etc. I did but blinking still there, we changed the gear box a second time, blinking still on. We fixed a new ABS pump, yap, the car regained it's power but still blinking on. Guys I am so done with the blinking sport thing. So worked up. Kindly help.
