Speedometer not working

Car starts runs, shifts and everything's fine. However, the speedometer saying error and the needle doesn't work, it moves when I first start car but after that nothing.

Hello,

It sounds like an issue with the vehicle speed sensor (VSS).
The speed sensor is what sends the transmission shaft rotation info to the ECM and that gets converter to the speedometer display.
A faulty VSS will prevent the speedometer from working. It can also be due to a faulty connector to the sensor.
