Speedometer goes from 30 mph to over 100 mph

If I drive my zafira up to 30 mph the needle goes up an down fine but as soon as I go over 30 mph the needle shoots up to over 100 mph and then idles at 100 mph when stopped.

Hello,

It sounds like the vehicle speed sensor has gone out. lets try replacing it to see what happens. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
