speedometer just stop working what can be the problem? how can I fix it?

scan for codes it may be the speed sensor auto parts does for free. also check wiring and connections for chafing and or poor connection.

where is the speed sensor located?

if you replace it your check engine light will stay on as it needs to be erased by a scanner. the sensor is on the transmission, but there are two different transmissions in this car a ZF or ASIN check for a three way horizontal plug on transmission as we do not have a good picture location of it.
