Milliage can be red at start up but goes out after warm up. What might the cause be?

If the cluster was not programmed to your vehicle then it will not work because they are VIN number specific or if it is original cluster then it may be time for a rebuild. Have a mechanic scan for codes.

It may be just the cluster going bad. Then have a mechanic check to see if it gets a signal. They can be rebuilt.
