Want to replace the speed sensor (revolution, sensor secondary)

CVT transmission. Want to replace the speed sensor (revolution, sensor secondary). I have OEM part yet to see in service manual for nissan it says it requires shims. Shims did not come with part 31935-1XF00. Original does not have shims so why would they be needed with new poem part?

The input speed sensor does not require any shims. It is to be flush mounted to the CVT case.

The output speed sensor does require shims based on the model vehicle that you have.
