Engine management light came on

My engine management light came on following a couple of small misfires. An AA mechanic gave a diagnostic and said it was the third spark plug. I've carefully replaced all of them. Car runs as good as ever but the light remains on. What could the reason be? Many thanks. Louis.

Try having the code deleted from the computer. That should reset the computer. Now, if the light comes back on, re-scan the computer to see if it is the same issue.
