I took off the cover for the spark plugs, and the coil boots did not come out. So I can't get to the spark plugs to exchange them. What do I do now?

Hi Nicole,

Here is the procedure to remove the ignition coil and the boots should be underneath. It looks like there is a special tool needed and I suspect this is needed so the boots come out with it.

If you did not have this tool, then you should just be able to use some needle nose pliers and pull them off but this may damage them. However, if you submit a picture of what you have currently then I may be able to come up with a better idea of how to get them out.

Let me know and we can go from there.

I didn't know about the special tool beforehand. I tried needle nose pliers. Eventually the boots came off in pieces. Now I have to go and buy a whole new part. :(

Understandable. Unfortunately, we have all received this type of education on different things.

Glad you got it figured out. Please let us know if you need more information. Thanks
