So I just had work done on my car on 11/23/15 they scanned it said cylinder 1 no fire. They replaced ignition coil, upper intake gasket, spark plugs and wires, transmission filter.
I got the car back, went to town came back appox. 25 miles round trip. About to go back out, turn car on, and the spark plug blew out of the engine, scared the begissise out of me. Anyway! Know there saying I have to get a new head gasket? I don't understand how it went in for a normal tune up, now I need a head gasket. What's your take on this ?

Maybe they left a spark plug loose and it blew out? Check the threads in the spark plug hole, if they are not damaged, screw the spark plug back in.
If the threads are damaged, they need to pull the cylinder head to repair. If they pull the head, might as well replace all applicable gaskets.
