Changed my spark plugs and when I pulled the caps off the metal part of the wire stuck on the plug. Got it off with pliers, but do I need new plug wires? Push back in and it seems to run fine.

When something like that happens I like to replace the wires. With some like that it adds resistance and strain on coil. Make sure you get some better quality wires. Like standard brand etc.
