So I checked both fuses and they looked like they were good, all lights and radio functions, I just don’t have sound, the volume knob doesn’t work and neither do the buttons on the wheel.

Yep, what will happen is the pre-amp inside the radio will go out or the main amp has failed and cause a "no sound" condition. Either way they will need to be sent in and tested.
Make sure it’s not muted or stuck on Bluetooth/AUX with no device connected
Here is how to remove the head unit and amp so they can be tested. You may want to check for water damage back by the amp while you are back there. Check the connectors for corrosion. Check out the images (below).
