No check engine lights on. Very seldom excessive pumping gas pedal required to get started. But before it gets started I hear a little puff of air sound like a back fire, but not as loud. Then it starts. It has been doing this before I had problems with VSS and fuel system. I replaced EVAP purge solenoid and fuel PSI regulator, fuel tank, PSI sensor and MAF sensor. Had valve job done several months ago. Wires plugs one coil PAC. Also maybe unrelated, I took fuel tank down. Where tank vent hose is I have got a 3/8 in hose two feet long come off tank unhooked. Looks like it has been there for a while. Spider web inside. Please help. Thanks.

Check fuel pressure with a gauge as that may be low auto parts rent gauge. there should be no hoses hanging it may be a vent hose for tank check at filler neck. then check for a vacuum leak. See link for fuel pressure.
