Was at a light pulling a trailer. A green light advanced into a left turn, truck shut off. Threw it into N tried rolling restart, cranked but no start. Rolled to a stop. Several more attempts to start, cranked like crazy but no start. discovered blown fuse ign (I think) called rescue mom. Got chained out of there.

Upon much more invasive out checking found multiple fuses blown and one entire “bank”? With no power
Marked [fuel sol]. [ECM-1] [ENG-1] all connect by solid strip of copper under fuse box with pink wire attached that runs out of fuse box into the great unknown (wire harness)

I was doing pretty good chasing and learning to use the diagram when I noticed it was designated “VIN R”

My VIN has an S

Here we are.

These are fed power by the ignition switch, good job finding out what fuses don't have power. To confirm the failure here is a guide to help and the ignitions witch wiring diagrams, test the switch with the ignition on:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-test-light-circuit-tester

Here is how to change out the ignition switch in case you need it. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

I've got nothing to say that won't be edited out Ken my man.
I got the thing taken apart.
Realized I had it taken apart past what was necessary and tried to put it back a little bit. It was being uncooperative and I'm doing this in the dark mostly. So, I figured why not see what happens if I stick something in the ignition box thingy and turn it while it's not connected to the column under where the key goes. I rotated it a little and the radio came on and so did the fuel pump. Now the fuel pump wasn't coming on before with the radio before I had taken it apart so again, I thought "why not" so I twisted my stick a bit more and the damn thing started right up!!! So, it works. No idea why. The only thing I do know is that if I get pulled over, I am definitely going to jail for grand theft auto with the column looking like this.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Cue the music!!

Logic is screaming at me that this is indicative of a broken wire, i.e. works of you bend it one way but doesn't if you bend it the other. So, my guess is I'll have to start it and work the harness all kinds of ways to see what happens... nice and professional like.

There are little plastic terminals on some wires just hanging out along the length in the middle here and there. What are they for? TR he are kind of metal whistle shapes but tiny of course.

oh, hey there Ken ole buddy ole pal, sorry to leave you hanging like that. So, I was finally going to drive the truck out of here, but it seems the lights are now bananas. It seems my front running lights are now connected to my brake pedal somehow because when I push the pedal they come on. I've got no blinkers and the switch housing for the headlights is back lit. have fun with that one buster.

So far so good but I haven't driven it very far. Thing is, I didn't "do" anything to it except take the column apart a bit. The lights corrected when I stuck my finger in the hole where the hazard button should be.

It could have been bad gas or water in the tank which can make the fuel pump lock up at times.

So, things seem well enough. It starts and she goes. I'm having a very hard time keeping it in a lane though. I've tweaked the steering box screw thing and I've done my at home alignment but it's like it all just comes back loose once I'm on the road. Oh, and my lights blink out and back real fast like. Happened twice so far that I've noticed. But the real reason I'm here and what I really need Ken old pal is a tech drawing of the rear frame of a 95 GMC k1500 for a project I'm planning on starting.
